FIELD: testing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of mechanical testing of grinding balls. According to the first version, the maximum kinetic energy of the ball in the mill is first determined, then the one-time loading force is experimentally determined, which provides for the work taking into account the full deformation of the ball, value of which is equivalent to the maximum kinetic energy of the ball in the mill, after which the frequency of loading is experimentally determined depending on the force of single loading and the required number of loading cycles, then, the test ball is placed into the test apparatus, the ball is brought into contact with the striker and subjected to pulsating cyclic loading in accordance with the parameters determined at the previous stages of the method. According to second version: first, maximum kinetic energy of ball in mill is determined, then experimentally determining the one-time loading force, which, taking into account the full deformation of the ball, work, the value of which is equivalent to the maximum kinetic energy of the ball in the mill, after which the loading frequency is experimentally determined depending on the single loading force, and the required number of loading cycles is calculated by the formula, then, the test ball is placed into the test apparatus, the ball is brought into contact with the striker and subjected to pulsating cyclic loading in accordance with the parameters determined at the previous stages of the method.
EFFECT: possibility to simulate operation of balls of different hardness and size in mills of any volume.
