FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to predict the risk of breast cancer (BC) progression with underlying administration of tamoxifen, taking into account the expression characteristics of the tumour. Tumour tissue is analysed for transcriptional activity of the ESR1 gene, expression of proteins TGF-βR2, pAkt and percentage of subpopulation pAkt-/TGF-βR2+ cells. Obtained values are substituted into the formula for calculating the value of the logistic regression equation, which is used to calculate the probability P of progression of breast cancer. At P≥0.5, a high risk of progression of breast cancer is predicted with underlying administration of tamoxifen. If P <0.5, a low risk of progression is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides more accurate and informative prediction of the risk of breast cancer with underlying administration of tamoxifen by using the original formula for calculating the logistic regression equation and determining the probability of developing breast cancer.
