FIELD: veterinary virology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method for molecular diagnostics, namely genotyping of vaccine strains of foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype SAT-2 by the method of studying peaks of melting points of amplicons using fluorescent dimeric acridine Eva488. For the first time, differentiation of genome of vaccine strains of foot-and-mouth disease virus serotype SAT-2 using the developed method is presented. Developed method is characterized by analytical specificity equal to 100%. In 95% confidence interval, the diagnostic sensitivity for the given method is 99.34–100.00%, the diagnostic specificity is 98.07–100.0%.
EFFECT: main advantage of the proposed invention is the ability to carry out in a short period of time, not more than 2.5 hours, genotyping of foot-and-mouth disease virus of serotype SAT-2 by the developed method.
