FIELD: veterinary science; virology.

SUBSTANCE: described is a method for molecular diagnostics, namely for differentiation of genome of ARRIAH vaccine strain from field isolates of rabies virus by real-time polymerase chain reaction with analysis of peaks of melting temperatures of amplicons and using asymmetric dye SYBR Green. Main advantages of the present invention are the possibility of differentiating the genome of the ARRIAH vaccine strain from field isolates of the rabies virus in a short period of time – 2.5 hours using the developed method.

EFFECT: invention is characterized by analytical specificity equal to 100%, in 95% confidence interval diagnostic sensitivity for this method is 98.74–100%, diagnostic specificity – 98.84–100%.
