SUBSTANCE: diagnosis of chronic myocarditis is carried out by quantifying the regions of interest (ROI) in the mediastinum region on combined SPECT/CT images. Quantitative criteria include the intensity of radiopharmaceutical preparation accumulation in the inflammatory focus exceeding 193 units at the ratio of the RPP accumulation intensity in the inflammation focus to the lung - focus/lung index of more than 1.47, focus/spine index of more than 0.11, focus/sternum index of more than 0.07, focus/rib index of more than 0.225 and focus/blood pool in the left ventricle of more than 1.26.
EFFECT: method provides high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of determination of chronic inflammatory foci in the heart.
