FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sulphuric acid processing of titanium-rare metal raw material to obtain titanium and rare metal products. To perovskite concentrate is added mineral silicon-containing calcium titanate to ensure weight ratio of 1:0.1–0.5. Obtained mixture is ground, treated with sulphuric acid with concentration of 35-45% at S:Vl=1:0.8–1.5 and temperature of 100–105 °C for 0.5–1.0 hours. Formed pulp is diluted with concentrated sulphuric acid to ensure the ratio S:Vl=1:2.5–3.5, after which it is held in boiling mode for 1.5–3.0 hours to obtain a suspension. Suspension is then filtered to obtain a titanium-niobium-containing solution and a calcium-containing solid phase.
EFFECT: method provides higher environmental friendliness due to reduced degree of extraction of thorium into obtained titanium-niobium-containing solution and high degree of extraction of valuable components.
