FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to lifelong implanted endoluminal prostheses, more specifically the present invention relates to metal stents expandable by means of a balloon. Intravascular stent is configured to change from a compressed configuration to an expanded configuration characterized by a nominal stent diameter. Stent has a first end, a second end, a longitudinal axis, a central section and end sections and includes continuous crowns, each of which contains first vertices and second vertices connected by spacers into a sinusoidal ring. Spacers are characterized by a width measured along the outer surface of the stent. Each vertex is characterized by a width measured along the longitudinal axis of the stent from the inner radius of the vertex to the outer radius of the vertex. First vertices are directed to the first end, and the second vertices are directed to the second end. Adjacent crowns are interconnected by bridges to provide a continuous structure of the stent so that the first vertices of one crown are connected to the second vertices of the adjacent crown. In the compressed configuration, the first vertices of one crown are displaced along the circumference relative to the second vertices of the adjacent crown. Within the central section, the webs connecting the crown with adjacent crowns lie on different longitudinal lines parallel to the longitudinal axis of the stent. Two adjacent crowns are connected by two or three webs within the central section. According to the second embodiment of the stent, adjacent crowns are connected to each other by S-shaped bridges, including a central area and bending areas, wherein the stent is made of biocompatible stainless steel and/or biocompatible metal alloy.
EFFECT: possibility of transluminal delivery to implantation site with provision of predicted stent expansion during implantation, with improved possibility of visualization, with reliable fixation of stent after implantation, with provision of further angioplasty in place of stent implantation.
