METHOD FOR PREDICTING OUTCOME OF SEVERE INTOXICATION WITH PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES (PAS) Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N33/49 G01N33/53

Abstract RU 2824425 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pathophysiology, immunology, neuroimmunology, laboratory diagnostics, and can be used to predict the development of complications in severe poisoning with psychoactive substances (PAS) in extreme conditions of the Arctic. Blood is sampled from a vein, certain phenotypes of immune cells of peripheral blood are determined in the patients on the first day from the moment of acute PAS poisoning. If the content of T-suppressors CD8+ is more than 1.56 ± 0.03⋅109 cells/l and activated B-cells HLA-DR+ more than 1.02 ± 0.03⋅109 cells/l, high probability of complication development is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides the possibility of fast screening diagnostics, reducing the time by simplifying the method for predicting the risk of formation of increased cell-mediated cytotoxicity of CD8+, fraught with disturbed adaptive immune response, manifested by early development of complications, propensity to chronic course of disease, and also detection of critically high level of content of cells with antigens of histocompatibility class II HLA-DR+.
