FIELD: medicine; pathophysiology; immunology; laboratory diagnostics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict complications after COVID-19 in people with a comorbid background — diseases of the bronchopulmonary system in the Arctic Region. Blood is taken from a vein. In the peripheral blood of patients on the first day after the diagnosis of COVID-19, the total content of leukocytes and the content of the cytokine interleukin-10 (IL-10) are determined. With a low leukocyte count less than 4.00± 0.01⋅109 cells/l and at the same time a high content of IL-10 more than 10.00±0.01 pg/ml a high risk of developing complications is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides the ability to carry out rapid screening diagnostics, reduce time and simplify the methodology for predicting the risk of complications after suffering from COVID-19 in the first day from the time of diagnostics in persons with concomitant diseases of the bronchopulmonary system in the Arctic Region, by determining the total leukocytes count in the blood of patients and IL-10 content as well.
