SUBSTANCE: disclosed are adjustable accommodating intraocular lenses and methods for postoperative adjustment of accommodating intraocular lenses. In one embodiment, the adjustable accommodating intraocular lens comprises an optical portion and a peripheral portion. At least one of the optical part and the peripheral part can be made partially from a composite material containing an energy-absorbing component and expanding components. At least one of the main optical power and cylindricality of the optical part can be changed in response to the effect of external energy directed to the composite material.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions allows adjusting accommodating intraocular lenses after implantation without the need for an additional operation.
