Module for switching 2D/3D display modes for a LED panel element, comprising: a LED panel element emitting non-polarized light, a subcollimating optical light redirection element, a light polarization changing system, 2D/3D display mode switch, which receives light from the output of the light polarization changing system, comprising a first polarization-dependent mirror, second polarization-dependent mirror, consisting of series-arranged semi-transparent mirror, quarter-wave plate and linear polarizer, and an active retarder located between the first polarization-dependent mirror and the second polarization-dependent mirror.

EFFECT: reduced apodisation of light of pixels on the edge of the LED panel and high resolution.
