FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to therapeutic use of selenium nanoparticles coated with sorafenib. Disclosed is the use of selenium nanoparticles coated with the multikinase inhibitor sorafenib for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis, where selenium nanoparticles are obtained by laser ablation and have size of 100–120 nm, wherein the thickness of the sorafenib layer is 10–20 nm.
EFFECT: said use reduces the level of expression of fibrosis marker genes and the number of collagen fibers, as well as reduces the length of collagen fibers in liver tissue; integrated studies have shown high efficacy of therapeutic application of selenium nanoparticles coated with sorafenib for treating severe hepatic fibrosis and potential regression of micronodular cirrhosis.
