FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to maxillofacial surgery. Blair skin incision is performed. Subcutaneous fat is dissected. Skin flaps are mobilized within the gland borders. Parotid masticatory fascia is dissected. Shaft and branches of the facial nerve are visualized. Mobilized superficial lobe of the parotid salivary gland together with the branches of the facial nerve is clamped anteriorly. Neoplasm of the deep lobe of the parotid salivary gland is removed. Superficial lobe of the parotid salivary gland is placed in an anatomical-physiological position and the operation is completed with wound drainage and suturing of subcutaneous fat with interrupted sutures, skin—with an intradermal suture.
EFFECT: method enables preserving functional activity of facial muscles and reducing a risk of soft tissue injuries when removing a neoplasm of a deep lobe of the parotid salivary gland.
