SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used at thermal power plants operating on natural gas. Disclosed is a method of operating a thermal power plant, according to which organic fuel, atmospheric air and feed water are supplied to the furnace of a steam boiler, where the organic fuel combustion process is carried out with the combustion products heated to a high temperature and water steam is generated, the water steam is directed to the steam turbine through the main steam line, and the cooled combustion products are discharged through the flue gas duct into the atmosphere through the chimney, in the steam turbine in the process of steam expansion, useful work of the steam-power cycle is performed, which is spent on the drive of the electric generator, the steam spent in the steam turbine is discharged into the condenser, in condenser water steam is condensed due to heat exchange with circulation water, condensate of steam spent in steam turbine from condenser by condensate pump is directed to feed tank, from which feed pump is fed into steam boiler, organic fuel used is natural gas, at that, desalted water obtained by cooling the exhaust combustion products of the steam boiler below the dew point in the condensation heat exchanger installed in the gas duct after the steam boiler on the suction side of the smoke exhauster is carried out, in the recuperative heat exchanger, into the heated path of which the initial water is supplied, and performing the steam turbine spent steam condensation by the cooled demineralised water injection into the steam turbine exhaust branch pipe by means of at least four nozzles symmetrically located on the exhaust branch pipe and connected to the annular water distribution header, wherein desalinated water is fed into recuperative heat exchanger by pump from desalinated water collection tank.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of thermal power plant.
