FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used in reconstructive operations for plastic surgery of skull bone defects. Method of replacing a skull bone defect involves making an implant for reconstructive plastics from methyl methacrylate by forming a liquid implant substrate consisting of polymers based on image segmentation of the missing skull fragment and subsequent simulation of the implant on the bone defect using a mould previously prepared individually for a specific defect of the bones of the cranial vault. Mould is made on the basis of computed tomography data of the head, printed on 3D printer using filaments of diameter 1.75 mm from polylactide or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene with FDM/FFF printing technology and coated with two-component dental silicone with Shore hardness of 25-40.

EFFECT: improvement and optimization of cranial bone defect replacement using additive technologies due to creation of individual moulds.
