FIELD: production of continuous fibers from thermoplastic material.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at factories producing glass fiber articles, including articles from basalt fibers. Device includes housing formed by end and side walls, spinneret bottom, connected to end walls of current leads, arranged inside housing perforated heating screens. Screens are made in the form of U-shaped profiles, installed in the transverse direction of the longitudinal axis of the housing with the same interval from each other. Each U-shaped profile is perforated with holes in its upper part. Ratio of the total flow area of all holes of the screens and between screens for melting the thermoplastic material to the total area of all holes of the spinneret is within range of 12–25. Height of side walls of screens made in the form of U-shaped profiles is selected from row of 3–15 mm. Also, screens can be made in the form of rectangular plates installed in transverse direction of longitudinal axis of the housing with the same interval from each other. At that, ratio of total flow area of all holes between screens for melting of thermoplastic material to total flow area of holes of spinneret bottom is within 12–25, and height of screens made in the form of rectangular plates is selected from row of 3–15 mm.

EFFECT: production of continuous fibers from thermoplastic materials with high temperature of upper crystallization limit, with high efficiency, operational reliability, stability of the fiber forming process and high quality of the obtained product.
