FIELD: laboratory equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory equipment for microbiological research. Digital optical unit of a device for identifying microorganisms includes a housing comprising a platform for accommodating a container with a biological sample; digital camera; spectroscopic head, containing two optical systems placed in the holder, one of which is intended for excitation radiation supply, second – for detection of fluorescent response signal from biological sample, where the spectroscopic head is movable in at least a horizontal plane above the platform with the container; and at least two lamps – upper and lower, arranged to provide uniform illumination of container with biological sample. Holder is assembled from at least three parts having adjacent profiled surfaces configured to form, when parts are combined, of two light-guide channels to accommodate said optical systems.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the accuracy of taxonomic identification of microorganisms while ensuring reliability and compactness of the digital optical unit used for this purpose.
