FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: device for incubating samples in containers, for example in Petri dishes, and obtaining digital images of culture results. The device includes an incubation chamber, two modules for forming a digital image of samples (colonies of microorganisms), a module for moving containers with samples in the working volume of the incubation chamber, containing two 3-coordinate manipulators with grippers for containers, with the manipulators located one above the other with the possibility of blocking the working stroke of each other, ensuring access for the grip of each manipulator to the container located in the working volume of the incubation chamber at the window for loading and unloading containers; a set of sensors and scanners for monitoring the location and identification of a specific sample in a container, including “red zone” sensors, configured to detect the presence of a manipulator gripper in the “red zone” located around the window for loading and unloading containers, accessible for service by the upper and lower manipulators; a manipulator control unit, which contains a protection unit configured to send a signal to stop the movement of the second manipulator when the “red zone” sensor of the first manipulator is triggered.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity of the incubation system with photographing samples placed in containers, for example, in Petri dishes, while eliminating the “collision” of the grips of two manipulators in the area of the window for loading and unloading containers.
