FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making, namely to devices for measuring flow rate of liquid in chemical, oil, oil refining industry, as well as in power engineering. Ball flow meter comprises housing (1), in which there is jet-directing device (2), behind the outlet end of which there is swirling chamber (5) with ball (4), and ball (4) rotation speed converter (7) into electric signal arranged on housing outer wall. In the proposed solution, jet-directing device (2) is equipped with a unit for rigid sealing of the end of carbon thread (8), presented in the form of the centre of outlet end (6), made in the form of bushing (9) with carbon thread (8), which is a flexible mechanical link having bulge (10) on the side of the bushing. Maximum diameter of bulge (10) is determined from the condition of equal resistance to bending at a smooth transition to the diameter of carbon thread (8), wherein ball (4) is connected to the end of carbon thread (8).
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of ball mass flowmeter and increasing its service life.
