FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making, in particular to devices for measurement of liquid mass flow rate in chemical, oil, oil refining industries, as well as power engineering. Ball mass flowmeter comprises housing (1) with vertical longitudinal axis, in which there is jet-directing device (2), ball (3) placed inside swirling chamber (4) located behind outlet end (5) of the jet-directing device, and inductive sensor of output signal (6) installed on the outer side of the housing. Proposed solution includes a flexible mechanical link representing carbon thread (7) connecting the ball to the centre of the outlet end of the jet-directing device. Ball mass flowmeter is additionally equipped with a ball rotation frequency recorder (8), radial gap meter (9) between the ball and the inner side of the housing in the place of the inductive sensor installation, and mass flow rate computer (10). Inputs of the ball rotation frequency recorder and the radial gap meter are connected to the first and second outputs of the inductive sensor, and their outputs are connected to the first and second inputs of the mass flow rate computer.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of ball mass flowmeter measurement, as well as increasing its service life.
