FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing optically transparent copolyimides of general formula:
where A = , , , Alyc = , , , Aryl = , , m = 20-80, n = 80-20, by high-temperature polycyclisation of an alicyclic diamine, an aromatic diamine and a dianhydride in a mixture of solvents containing sulpholane, at which reaction mass is heated for 1 hour and held at final temperature, according to the invention, the alicyclic diamine, the aromatic diamine and the dianhydride are taken in molar ratios of 0.2-0.8:0.8-0.2:1, respectively, reaction mass is heated from 20 to 140 °C at rate of 2 degrees per minute in a mixture of solvents containing 80 vol.% sulpholane and 20 vol.% toluene, and held at 140 °C for 7-23 hours with azeotropic distillation of water.
EFFECT: shorter reaction time and temperature, higher values of reduced viscosity of copolyimides.
