FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing copolyimides which can be used in many high-tech industries, primarily as heat-resistant dielectrics. Method of producing optically transparent copolyimides of general formula
where A = , , , , Alyc = , , , , , , Aryl = , , m = 20÷80, n = 80÷20, by high-temperature polycyclisation of alicyclic diamine, aromatic diamine and dianhydride in a mixture of solvents containing 1,2-dichlorobenzene and sulpholane. Reaction mass is heated for 1 hour and held at final temperature, wherein alicyclic diamine, aromatic diamine and dianhydride are taken in molar ratios of 0.2–0.8:0.8–0.2:1, respectively, reaction mass is heated from 20 to 140 °C at rate of 2 degrees per minute in a mixture of solvents containing 60% vol. 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 20% vol. sulpholane and 20% vol. toluene, and held at 140 °C for 7–23 hours with azeotropic distillation of water.
EFFECT: proposed approach enables to reduce reaction time and temperature, as well as increase value of reduced viscosity of copolyimides.
