FIELD: ice production or storage.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ice cubes preparation devices. Unit for preparation of ice cubes contains tray for ice cubes and cover for installation on tray, connected by shifting mechanism. Displacement mechanism comprises a first bistable element located between the cover and the tray, having a first stable state, when the tray and the cover are in the closed position, and the second stable state when the tray and the cover are in the open position. Shifting mechanism further comprises a second bistable element located between the cover and the tray, having a first stable state when the tray and the cover are in the closed position, and the second stable state when the tray and the cover are in the open position. First bistable element and the second bistable element are arranged in series between the cover and the tray. Shifting mechanism additionally comprises a frame element passing along the periphery of the tray and the cover, wherein the first bistable element is located between the frame element and the cover, and the second bistable element is located between the frame element and the tray.

EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability, simplified use of the device.
