SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used in assessing the hygienic state of prosthetic obturators made after surgical resection of the upper jaw. What is presented is a method for quantitative assessment of the surface contamination of the post-resection dentoalveolar obturator with dental deposits, involving staining the inner surface of the denture adjacent to the prosthetic bed. In the method, coloured plaque spots on the surface of the prosthesis are outlined with a water-soluble marker, the surface of the prosthesis is coated with a matting spray for scanning, scanned in 3D printer, the obtained scans are converted into 3D model, then selected areas of contamination are cut out from the model and three groups of scanned elements are obtained. Then, using a computer program for processing 3D objects, the ratio of the area of the contaminated surface of the dentoalveolar prosthesis to the total area of the entire orthopaedic structure is determined and determining the level of contamination of the removable orthopaedic dental structure, which enables to prescribe a treatment plan for the patient.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the accuracy of assessing the contamination of the surface of the post-resection dentoalveolar obturator with dental deposits and preventing inflammatory changes in the oral cavity.
