FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrine surgery, and can be used for diagnosing thyroid neoplasms with unclear malignant potential. Method consists in the fact that ultrasound with intravenous contrast enhancement with assessment of localization of formation, signs of malignancy, perfusion of formation tissue, peculiarities of blood supply in mode of colour and power Doppler ultrasonography. That is followed by a precision trephine biopsy of the growth larger than 1 cm under infiltration anaesthesia of the anterior surface of the neck with an incision of up to 2-3 mm. After that, the ultrasound-controlled needle is inserted at angle of 30-45° along the midline of the neck through the isthmus of the thyroid gland to the neoplasm along a trajectory outside the path of the large great vessels and trachea, needle shot distance is measured; biopsy of growth with adjacent capsule and healthy tissue and volume formation proper is performed. Further, the mass is marked according to the anatomic-topographic localization of the thyroid gland, according to which the right and left lobes are divided into upper and lower poles, where each pole is divided into an anterior and a posterior segment. Histological and molecular genetic studies of the obtained biological material are carried out. In case of a dubious conclusion, an immunohistochemical study is performed.
EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of results of early diagnosis of new growths of thyroid gland in patients with unclear malignant potential due to biopsy under ultrasound control and histological and molecular genetic analysis of tissue material.
