FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: laser-fluorescent complex for implementing a method for laser spectroscopy of autofluorescence of parathyroid glands, containing a continuous excitation laser, connected to the Y-shaped fiber-optic probe with separate optical channels for the excitation laser radiation and the autofluorescence light collection, the optical radiation input and output units into the optical probe, a spectral light filter for suppressing scattered laser radiation, a spectrometer with a Peltier-cooled CCD-photodetector. Method of laser spectroscopy of autofluorescence of parathyroid glands includes stages, at which: Y-shaped fiber-optic probe is introduced into the analyzed region for emitting an excitation laser and collecting autofluorescence light, recording the spectral intensity of the autofluorescence signal and performing a comparative spectral analysis of the collected data, based on which the parathyroid gland is identified, its pathology is diagnosed and possible postoperative complications are predicted.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of identification of thyroid and parathyroid glands and their pathologies, as well as prediction of possible postoperative complications.
