Level of albumin and creatinine, alpha-amylase and phospholipase A2 activity are determined, and the derived data are used to calculate a complication index by formula. Value of the index less than 5.4 testifies to the absence of a probability of developing complications, from 5.4 and more – a high degree of probability of developing complications.

EFFECT: method enables increasing the accuracy of early prediction of developing complications in acute pancreatitis by assessing the complex of the most significant parameters.
