FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology and oncology, and can be used to predict the development of cerebellar neoplasm. Patient’s clinical history data is collected to detect 5 factors in the anamnesis: presence of intracranial hypertension; presence of complaints indicating a malfunction of the central nervous system for more than 6 months (headaches, unsteadiness when walking, cognitive disorders, emotional lability and others); fact of genetically determined brain diseases in direct blood relatives; staying in the zone of high radioactive emission; work with harmful working conditions. Patient undergoes magnetic resonance imaging of the cerebellum to determine its 5 linear dimensions: transverse, two longitudinal and two vertical, then the measured parameters are compared with standard values of cerebellar parameters. If observing one or more factors in the clinical-anamnestic study, and the mismatch of two or more linear dimensions of the cerebellum, the development of its neoplasm is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables early prediction of developing cerebellar neoplasm with accurate localization by determining its five linear dimensions.
