INCREASED REACTIVITY OF NITRILE HYDRATASE WITH HELP OF ALDEHYDE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C12N9/88

Abstract RU 2827406 C2

FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of producing an amide compound from a nitrile compound in the presence of a biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity, comprising a step of exposing a biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity, a nitrile compound, and a step of adding an aldehyde compound to the reaction solution containing a nitrile compound, where the aldehyde compound is added to the reaction solution before, after or simultaneously with the first step. Nitrile compound is at least one compound, selected from the group consisting of acrylonitrile, acetonitrile, methacrylonitrile, cyanopyridine, glycolonitrile and alanine nitrile, and the biocatalyst having nitrile hydratase activity is bacterial cells containing nitrile hydratase.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to suppress biocatalyst inactivation and to increase rate of reaction of nitrile compound conversion into amide compound.
