SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely neurosurgery, ultrasound diagnostics, and can be used in the surgical treatment of patients with meningiomas of the base of the posterior cranial fossa. The method includes an intraoperative assessment of cerebral blood flow during the removal of extracerebral tumors. The nature of blood flow and the linear velocity of blood flow in the posterior and anterior inferior cerebellar arteries are determined by intraoperative contact ultrasound Dopplerography. The initial blood flow velocity is measured, in the case of turbulent blood flow or an increase or decrease in velocity intraoperative tactics are changed by 30% or more compared to the initial one: manipulations on the vessel are stopped for 1-2 minutes, and after the resumption of laminar blood flow or restoration of blood flow velocity, the operation is continued. In the case of restoration of blood flow for more than two minutes or the turbulent nature of the blood flow, undeleted fragments of the tumor capsule are left on the vascular wall and the lateral surface of the bridge.

EFFECT: method allows to avoid postoperative ischemic complications and improve the functional results of operations by determining the nature of blood flow and the linear velocity of blood flow.
