FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test benches for investigation of contact-fatigue damages and noise emission of the zone of contact interaction of a rail track with wheels of wheel pairs of bogies of railway rolling stock. Test bench includes a movable platform installed on a frame and performing reciprocal motions. On the upper and lower sides of the movable platform, the investigated sections of the railway track are fixed, which together with the movable platform move along the wheel pairs of bogies fixed in the bench and pressed by jacks to these sections of the track. On the bench frame, on each end side of the movable platform, a set of stepped springs is installed to limit the movement of the movable platform in the longitudinal direction, also, on the bench frame there is a power mechanism for pressing the movable platform to one of the sets of springs and its abrupt release from this position when the bench is started in motion. To maintain and control the speed and frequency of reciprocating movement of the movable platform, an electromagnetic mechanism is installed on the bench frame, and microphones are installed on the bench frame in the immediate vicinity of the said zone to measure noise emission in the zone of contact between the wheels and the rails.
EFFECT: reduced weight of the test bench, use of a lower-power engine to drive the movable platform, possibility of simultaneous testing of two investigated track sections, possibility of conducting tests in conditions close to operational ones.
