FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement equipment, in particular to a device for measuring the level of material in a container and, in particular, unstable material, the characteristics of which change over time, for example, such as liquid yeast or liquid starter. Sensor device (1) for measuring the level of material (M) in container (2) comprises housing (11), at least one proximity sensor (12) located inside housing (11), wherein housing (11) comprises measuring window (15), providing passage of detection signal (S13) transmitted by sensor (12), and passage of reflected detection signal (S14) after reflection from free surface (SL) of material (M) inside housing (21) of vessel (2). Sensor device (1) further comprises fastener (16) fixedly connected to housing (11) and providing detachable fastening of sensor device (1) outside container (2) on connection means (3), fixedly connected to container (2), wherein in vessel (2) there is measuring window (15) of housing (11) located opposite corresponding opening (23).

EFFECT: possibility of easy and fast installation of the sensor device on the container, as well as its fast maintenance, as well as the possibility of direct measurement of the material level, which enables to transmit data to the manufacturer in real time in order to facilitate the logistic of the said container.
