REACTOR FOR CHEMICAL ACTIVATION OF CARBON MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC C01B32/312 B01J19/28 C09C1/44

Abstract RU 2828553 C1

FIELD: various technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology and equipment for producing carbon materials with developed surface and porosity and can be used in sorption equipment, production of catalysts, polymer materials and radio electronics. Reactor consists of: a cylindrical housing installed in a furnace with a constant angle of inclination in range of 20-30°, having possibility of axial rotation, inside which there are screw longitudinal turns with blades, upper fixed flange cover with gas sluice and inert gas supply to it, with perforated inert gas inlet branch pipe, perforated water vapour inlet branch pipe, a branch pipe for output of a vapour-gas mixture of reaction products and a lower fixed flange cover with a branch pipe for removing waste gaseous products of chemical reactions and a hatch for loading and unloading of components of the activated reaction mixture for activation and respectively unloading of activated carbon material, as well as a chamber for neutralization of exhaust gases, installed above the cylindrical housing, outside the furnace, stationary. At that, in the upper fixed flange cover the installed branch pipe for outlet of the vapour-gas mixture of reaction products is connected to the recirculation branch pipe of the vapour-gas mixture with the possibility of supplying inert gas to it and further with a U-shaped perforated gas header located inside the cylindrical housing at 4/5 of its length and below the perforated inert gas supply pipe at distance of 1/5 of the diameter of the cylindrical housing.

EFFECT: design of a reactor which has high efficiency, reliability, scalability, safety and efficiency, which enables to obtain activated carbon materials with high specific surface area and porosity.
