FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to orthopaedic dentistry, and is intended for use in orthopaedic treatment of patients with complete adentia. Prototype of the prosthesis is used to determine the degree of its fixation. Prototype is corrected and the prosthesis is scanned after its correction with making changes to the final prosthesis design. To determine the degree of fixation of the prototype of the prosthesis, test tests are carried out, which demonstrate functional suction of the prosthesis. Fixation of the distal part of the prosthesis of the upper and lower jaws is checked by pressing the front teeth with a finger, pushing them towards the lips, and the fixation of the front part is checked by pulling the incisors up and down depending on the jaw. It is noted that the edges of the prosthesis are in accordance with the valve zone with vertical finger pressure on one of the sides of the upper and lower prostheses, in the area of lateral teeth, the opposite side of the prosthesis does not rise and when the lower jaw moves back and forth, to the right and to the left during sliding contacts with antagonists, prostheses remain stable. If observing unsatisfactory fixation of the prosthesis during the tests, the prosthesis is shortened on the detected area, or the prosthesis edge is lengthened and/or expanded with the help of silicone material to form the borders. Silicone material, with manual activation of the main layer with a catalyst, is formed in the form of a flagellum or a mixing gun with a nozzle is used. Silicone material is applied on the prosthesis area in need of correction, then the prosthesis is re-introduced into the oral cavity; dynamic tests are performed to correct the length, thickness and shape of the prosthesis edge in accordance with the valve zone; if necessary, the silicone material is applied on the prosthesis edge and the tests are repeated.
EFFECT: due to use of the stage of checking fixation of the prototype of the prosthesis, the method allows to improve fixation of complete removable dentures made by CAD/CAM method.
