FIELD: microwave engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering, particularly to filters. Waveguide filter, which is a disc, the radius of which corresponds to the inner radius of the waveguide of round section, containing an electrodynamic system matched with the field of the incident wave. At that, disc is made of metal, at that, in disc for selection of mode of type TEm,n there are round through holes arranged in concentric (2n-1) rows, wherein in each row there are 2m holes, the radii of which are equal to each other and are found from the condition of providing single-mode propagation of the lowest TE1,1 mode along these holes, wherein centres of holes correspond to local maxima of electric field of TEm,n mode, and adjustment of the value of decoupling of the separated TEm,n mode with the other modes is carried out by selecting the thickness of the metal disc, which excludes the transfer of active power through the holes by means of reactively damped waves, but does not allow reducing the transmission coefficient of the separated TEm,n mode below the required value.

EFFECT: selection of high-order modes in a waveguide of circular cross-section with possibility of selecting coefficient of its decoupling with other modes.
