FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of controlling an electric motor of an electric vehicle and a device for its implementation. Method includes steps of: switching on and self-testing of engine control unit with low voltage; subsequent switching on of the engine control unit with high voltage; shutdown of engine control unit in case of failure of self-test; receiving signals from the motor rotation speed sensor and the current measuring sensor of the electric motor; control of power consumption and generation modes; control of torque and rotation speed of electric motor; torque control of the electric motor based on operating parameters of the electric motor, bipolar transistors with an insulated gate and a high-voltage circuit.
EFFECT: improving the safety of electric vehicle operation.
