FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method of producing nanodiscs containing ADRB1 in native conformation. This method involves: preparing a membrane fraction from cells expressing ADRB1 on their surface; adding to the preparation a membrane fraction of cells of an amphipathic polymer selected from the group: Ultrasolute Amphipol 17, Ultrasolute Amphipol 18, AASTY 11–45, AASTY 11–50, AASTY 6–50, AASTY 6–55; centrifugation and sediment removal.
EFFECT: high efficiency of ADRB1 solubilization owing to use of amphipathic polymers.
