FIELD: flour-and-cereals industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flour-and-cereals industry and is intended for use mainly at plants for processing sorghum, for example, grain of naked sorghum. Method involves moistening of grains with water, followed by high-speed vacuum build-up for 0.1-0.5 s and a given residual pressure, grain mixing, high-speed supply of atmospheric air for 0.1-0.5 s, grains tempering and drying at agent temperature drying 100-120 °C. Water is supplied in an amount which provides moistening of grain to moisture content of 21-22%. Residual pressure is used at high-speed vacuum gain to 0.025-0.060 MPa. Grain tempering is carried out for 6-9 hours, and drying – to grain moisture content of 14.5-15.5%.
EFFECT: method increases output of finished products and reduces power consumption for the hydrothermal treatment process.
