FIELD: flour-and-cereals industry.
SUBSTANCE: according to invention, oat grain, after cleaning from impurities is wetted in vacuum chamber at building of vacuum with residual pressure of 0.03-0.05 MPa and delivery of water to grain for 10-60 s with subsequent removal of excess of extraneous moisture from grain by building vacuum with residual pressure of 0.3-0.06 Mpa. Then grain is steeped in hoppers for 2.5-5.0 h and dried. Invention makes it possible to but time of hydrothermal treatment of oat grain and reduce power consumption at treatment by provision of removal of extraneous moisture and excluding its mechanical removal and reduced number of transfers of grain and equipment required for treatment.
EFFECT: improved quality of treatment at reduction of power consumption.
