FIELD: pulp and paper industry; food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pulp and paper and food industry, namely to a method of producing biocidal compostable packaging materials for prolonging storage life and improving quality of food products, particularly bakery products, sausages and cheese. Propolis collected in the Volga Federal Region of Russia is applied on one side of the paper by spraying an aerosol of its alcohol tincture with a fine sprayer with a scale for measuring tincture volume. In this case, 15-25% alcoholic propolis tincture is used, made by maceration from native propolis lump, with size of up to 20-30 mm3, with the help of its infusion of 150-250 grams for two weeks on 1 litre of 70% ethyl alcohol, with its automatic agitation for 15 minutes, twice a day, without exposure to sunlight. Before applying on one side of paper, the tincture is filtered twice through a cotton filter and when applying the obtained aerosol on area of 1 m2, its amount is 2.77-5 grams of propolis. Side with applied propolis is marked with stamp every 10 cm. Obtained paper is dried out of exposure to sunlight in a suspended state at 15-25 °C and 20-30% of air humidity for 20 minutes and then stored at 0-25 °C and 20-70% of air humidity without exposure to sunlight.

EFFECT: providing the possibility to extend the shelf life of food products by 1,5-6 times, and, when composting, to completely process package during 8 days.
