FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment for measuring volumetric and mass flow rate of gas in a wide range of values due to measurement of time of propagation of ultrasonic waves between sensors and processing of measurement results. Invention is a gas metering system, consisting of a housing of a measuring pipeline, nozzles with ultrasonic sensors installed in them, a pressure transducer, a temperature transducer, an electronic unit, made with possibility of reception-transmission and processing of signals received from ultrasonic sensors, pressure and temperature transducers, containing straight section with formation of flow. Ultrasonic sensors are installed with different inclination angles α and β to the axis of the measuring pipeline, wherein each two ultrasonic sensors located opposite each other form a pair of receiving-transmitting sensors, closed by a single protective casing, wherein formed pairs are divided into two receiving-transmitting groups of sensors corresponding to angles of inclination to axis of measuring pipeline, wherein in each of said groups in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the measuring pipeline, pairs of receiving-transmitting sensors are installed with an offset along the circumference of pipe by 90° relative to each other, electronic unit consisting of an electronic unit of a primary transducer and an electronic unit of a flow computer, which includes a radio interface unit of a flow computer, is installed on the housing between the said receiving-transmitting groups of sensors and is additionally made with possibility of automatic gain control.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring gas flow rate while expanding the range of measured values and processing measurement results, as well as simplifying the fabrication of the measuring section of the pipeline and its maintenance.
