FIELD: thermophysical measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to measure heat flows on the surface of various objects. Cooling method of heat flow sensor (HFS) includes HFS cooling due to heat removal during heat absorption for heating of cooling substance. Cooling substance is carried out in stages through several states of aggregation, where at first stage cooling substance is heated to melting temperature, at the second stage cooling substance is heated to boiling point, and at the third stage cooling substance is evaporated. Coolant used is cadmium, zinc or their alloys. HFS cooling device comprises hollow case made from metal with high heat conductivity and high heat capacity and device to be matched with HFS.
EFFECT: providing low weight and dimensions of HFS, its simplicity and reliability of cooling, as well as possibility of their use during flight design tests.
