FIELD: radiophotonics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio photonics and can be used in designing antenna excitation devices and active phased antenna arrays for communication, radiolocation and radio navigation. Photodiode fibre-optic module includes an optical fibre and a photodiode with a diameter d of the photodetector surface of the photodiode set in 2÷5 times less than diameter W of optical fibre, between the end of the optical fibre and the photodiode there is an optical element with a spherical front surface, wherein the diameter D of the optical element is set to exceed the diameter W of the optical fibre, and the height of the front ball segment with said spherical surface is set in the range h1=(0.2÷0.3)R, rear part of the optical element is made in the form of a truncated cone, the larger base of which is made with a diameter D and is installed monolithically adjacent to the base of the spherical segment of the optical element, and the smaller base of the truncated cone has a diameter equal to the diameter d of the photodetector surface of the photodiode, and the distance from the centre of the optical fibre to the photodiode is set equal to the focal distance of the optical element.

EFFECT: in the module according to the invention at peak power of laser pulses of 230 mW duration of 130 picoseconds of output electric pulses was achieved.
