FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to therapy, and can be used to determine concentration of unfractionated heparin in human plasma. Patient’s venous blood is sampled in a test tube with 3.2% sodium citrate at ratio of 9:1, the blood sample is centrifuged at 1,600 g for 15 minutes, followed by sampling the supernatant and centrifuging it at 12,000 g for 5 minutes. Spatial-temporal dynamics of the obtained fibrin clot is analysed. Calculation of heparin concentration is carried out by formula: Y = 0.2126 – 0.0542 × ln(Vi), where Y is concentration of unfractionated heparin in plasma, units/ml; Vi is the initial growth rate of the fibrin clot, mcm/min, determined in the test of space-time dynamics of fibrin clot formation, 0.2126 and 0.0542 are coefficients obtained when constructing the model.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of increasing the accuracy of determining the concentration of heparin in the patient's plasma by assessing both temporal and spatial characteristics of clot formation.
