SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aerosol-generating article, a container for aerosol-generating articles, and a method of making an aerosol-generating article. Aerosol-generating article comprises a rod containing an aerosol-generating substrate. Aerosol-generating article also comprises a filter in axial alignment with the rod and a connecting element comprising a first wrapper. First wrapper surrounds the rod and the filter and attaches the filter to the rod. Aerosol-generating article includes a cavity located between the rod and the filter. Cavity is partially limited by the inner surface of the first wrapper in the first part of the connecting element. First part of the connecting element has a basis weight of 50 grams per square meter or more.
EFFECT: providing strength of the product and preventing destruction of the cavity during normal use of the product.
