FIELD: smoking accessories.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to aerosol-generating devices. Article comprises an aerosol-generating substrate, an axially aligned filter having at least one filtering segment of a filtering material formed by a plurality of fibres containing a polyhydroxyalkanoate compound. Said fibres provide a total area of the outer surface inside the filtering segment of 0.12 to 0.28 square meter per gram. At least one said filtration segment contains at least 20% by weight of polyhydroxyalkanoate compound.
EFFECT: increased biodegradability, improved sensation of smoking in consumer, reduced effect of "dry" smoke, possibility of control of resistance to retraction of segment of filtering material and possibility of efficient production in automated high-speed production process.
