FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminium metallurgy and can be used for modification of aluminium alloys containing iron and silicon. Modifier based on aluminium-titanium-boron alloy contains the following components, wt.%: titanium 4.5-5.5, boron 0.9-1.1, iron – not more than 0.7, silicon, the concentration of which is determined from the ratio of Fe≥3.5Si, yttrium – up to 0.1 and aluminium – the rest.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of modification and promotes formation of a homogeneous and fine-grained structure in the volume of an ingot.
