FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of orthopedic diagnosis of heel bone pronation. Method for diagnosing heel bone pronation in children, which involves clinical examination of lower extremities. Further, a photograph of the dorsal surface of the lower extremities is taken in a standing position on a horizontal surface. Photographic image is then processed using the machine learning model included in the PyTorch Keypoint RCNN library by selecting key points and lines of dorsal surface of ankle joint and foot. Further, coordinates of points are found using the Keypoint RCNN model, and this model is trained using machine learning. Given model is trained to search for 17 key points of the dorsal surface of lower extremities, and training is performed using PyTorch and Scikit-leam. Then heel bone pronation angles are analyzed and calculated.

EFFECT: availability and increased diagnostic accuracy of heel bone pronation angle determination by means of computer program.
