FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of agglomerated ore and calcined pellets with possibility of obtaining reduced iron by reduction with hydrogen without the need for preliminary heating of raw material and increase in temperature of reducing gas. When producing agglomerated ore or calcined pellets, sintering of agglomerated raw material or calcination of green pellets is carried out, respectively. Iron oxide is reduced by passing a reducing gas from below through an agglomerate or pellets to achieve a degree of reduction of iron oxide equal to 50 % or more, wherein the degree of reduction of iron oxide contained in the agglomerated ore is a percentage ratio of the amount of oxygen, wt. %, in the composition of iron oxide contained in agglomerated ore or calcined pellets, to the amount of oxygen, wt. %, in the composition of Fe2O3, provided that the total content of iron in the agglomerated ore or pellets is Fe2O3.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing agglomerated ore.
