SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of producing reduced iron and a device for producing reduced iron. Agglomerate, which is a raw material for producing reduced iron, is loaded into a reducing furnace with simultaneous introduction of a reducing gas which contains hydrogen with concentration of 65% by volume or more as the main component and reducing the iron oxide contained in the agglomerate to obtain reduced iron. Agglomerate fed into the reduction furnace is an agglomerate that retains the heat obtained during its production, wherein the agglomerate temperature is higher than room temperature, the agglomerate is loaded into a reducing furnace immediately after its manufacture, and the heat is used in the iron oxide reduction reaction. At the same time, the section for production of agglomerate and the section for reduction are located horizontally, the section for reduction is directly connected to the section for production of agglomerate, and the section for production of agglomerate and the section for reduction are located in one system.
EFFECT: efficient production of reduced iron without preliminary heating of raw material.
